Wilfred served in various positions within Vopak since 1992, covering technical, operations and general management. Prior to joining Vopak AME, he was the Chief Executive Officer for Pengerang Independent Terminals Sdn Bhd, our oil hub in Johor, Malaysia.

Wilfred’s early career started in 1992 with Van Ommeren as an engineer at their Sebarok terminal in Singapore. He furthered his projects and operations exposure in the Sakra terminal having participated in its rapid growth through to 2000. Following Sakra, Wilfred broadened his exposure with management positions in commercial (as Sales Manager), in mergers and acquisition (as Integration Manager, following the acquisition of Penjuru terminal from GATX) and in general management (as General Manager, Ningbo).

Wilfred returned to the Singapore organization in 2007, serving first as Operations Director and later as its Managing Director. In 2012, he relocated to the Netherlands taking on the role of Global Director, Operations and Technology. In July 2017, Wilfred assumed the role of CEO of Pengerang Independent Terminals Sdn Bhd, a joint venture company between Dialog Group, Vopak and the State of Johor until December 2022. Following this stint, Wilfred returns to Vopak AME, leading a team which supports and governs the Operations & Technical domain which covers safety and sustainability, service and operations, asset management, projects and IT/OT
